\"The Inverted Well\" tells the story of two insomniac women in their mid-fifties living in worlds that couldn't be more different. Nina files nails in an authoritarian state, while Susanne is stuck in a rut in her own home. United by their insomnia and frustration with the world, they find themselves\u2014bed and all\u2014swallowed by a hole that opens up in the ground one evening, catapulting them upside down to the other side of the globe. One wakes up in the waiting room of a government office, the other in a women's prison cell. Is this what a fresh start looks like?<\/p>\n\n\n
