OUR WILD YEARS embarks on a journey back in time to one of the most moving and turbulent decades in post-World War II German society: the AIDS crisis of the 1980s. In many German cities, the newly forming gay community began to gently come out – and this emancipation movement was abruptly halted by the emergence of AIDS.
